Keeping your Wordpress up to date is something everyone should do.  But many of you that have a WordPress Blog don’t always think about it.  Well you should be thinking about this issue.  The current version of Wordpress is 2.6.3 and you should be running this version of Wordpress.

So the question is how do I upgrade my Wordpress to the curent versions.  I have prepared a video showing how to upgrade your Wordpress in a simple and easy way.  This video only applies if you are hosting your  blog on your own domain.  Believe me if you have a web hosting account that is managed by cPanel it is a very simple task.

I would suggest you take a look at this video and upgrade your Wordpress.

  2. I’m in Mark Widawer’s Stupid Easy Traffic course and have been reading your posts. With all the discussion about using the latest version of WordPress (2.6.3), my back room on my blog now tells me v. 2.6.5 is available. Is it too soon to download this. I downloaded it to my hard drive but haven’t installed it yet on m y blog.

  4. Wordpress just released two days ago the 2.6.5 upgrade to patch another security issue that was found. There is no reason you shouldn’t upgrade to this versions.

Just make sure you have a backup of everything. If you do nothing else, do a export of your posts and comments. You do this by doing a export on the manage page. Click export and save it to your computer. It just that simple.
